The Quest for the Best Competition Series is hosted by USA Dance Seattle, Chapter 1004. Our parent organization; USA Dance, Inc; is the governing body of competitive amateur ballroom dancing (known as DanceSport) in the USA.  As a chapter level competition, we are committed to providing you a high quality competitive experience at a reasonable price that allows amateur-amateur competition to thrive in our area.  This is consistent with our organization’s mission to improve the quality and the quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States.

The Quests have been steadily growing and we have moved this event to a much larger facility at the Kent Commons Community Center in downtown Kent, Washington.  With over 12,500 SF of space, we can now comfortably host larger events including multiple formation events.  The Kent Station Shopping Center is just across the street, so several restaurants are close at hand.  There is ample free parking available on site.

These events will be highlighted by Open Standard, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm competitions, which draw DanceSport athletes from all over the northwest.  A special warm welcome is extended to fellow dancers from Canada and Portland…only a three hour drive away.  We now offer mixed proficiency amateur-amateur syllabus events that have been well received and are gaining in popularity.

You should find all the information you need available on this website.  If by chance there is something missing or you have further questions, please do not hesitate to phone or e-mail. Check back closer to each event date for updated information.

The Quest for the Best is organized by committee, composed of seasoned organizers.  Although the previous organizers Daryl and Michele have retired as organizers, they are still available to help transition in the new management team in 2016.  For your convenience, we have listed a central phone number that is generally answered by Laurel Preston or Fred Blechen…who will refer you to the appropriate committee person to handle your question or request.

All of us involved hope you can join us in creating enjoyable and lasting memories.
